Kellie Daniels, Vice President of Premier Forest Products, Inc., graduated from Washington State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science. Kellie worked for former United States Senator Slade Gorton for 7 years. During her 4 year tenure in Washington D.C., Kellie worked as his Legislative Assistant on Agriculture, Appropriations and Natural Resources. In 1998, Kellie was assigned to the Senator’s State office in Bellevue, Washington where she was given the responsibilities of State Field Director. Kellie managed 39 County Advisory Committees and worked with 7 field staff members and 4 regional field offices throughout Washington State. Kellie also worked on assignment for U.S. Senator Gordon Smith as well as several other state, local and regional campaigns. In 2000, Kellie was promoted to Political Director where she managed the state wide field operations, field staff and coordinated party efforts with state and national campaigns.
In 2001, Kellie started her own Political and Governmental Affairs Firm, Kellie Daniels and Associates (KD&A). In this capacity, Kellie served as a House staff leader on the Washington State Redistricting Team. Every 10 years in conjunction with the new United States Census, redistricting takes place to redraw the state’s legislative and congressional district boundaries based on the US Census results. For over a year, KD&A worked with numerous principles in drafting the state’s legislative and congressional district boundaries. This measure was signed into law in 2002.
KD&A also consulted for several key State House races, worked on numerous communications and governmental affairs projects and traveled to and from Washington D.C. lobbying on behalf of clients. Kellie spent a good portion of her time speaking throughout the Pacific Northwest where she taught numerous campaign, governmental and political courses. In late 2003, KD&A began consulting for Premier Forest Products, Inc. on natural resources, trade and governmental affairs projects. This contract turned into a long-term contract and eventually a full-time commitment.
Since joining the management team of Premier Forest Products, Inc., Kellie overseas the marketing, promotion and sales effort along with the State and Federal Governmental affairs issues.
Kellie serves on the Board of Directors for the Grays Harbor Chamber of Commerce representing over 700 member firms. Kellie is also active with the Grays Harbor Economic Development Council dedicated to promoting new and expanding businesses in Grays Harbor County.
Kellie also serves on the Board of Directors for Tourism Grays Harbor dedicated to promoting tourism to scenic destinations to Washington’s Coast and Temperate Rainforests.
